European Vacation with 5 Kids - Nice, Monaco, & Milan

As you may know, our family of 7 spent the month of August traveling across Europe. It was jam packed full of fun, adventure, and memories to last a lifetime! If you missed our first stop, you can read about our time in Barcelona here. After spending nearly a week in Barcelona, we started hopping around from city to city. Over the next 6 days we visited Nice, Monaco, and Milan.

European Vacation with 5 Kids - Barcelona

This summer our family of 7 (5 kids 10 & under) traveled around Europe. We visited 8 countries in a month, and it was an incredible experience! The first stop of our trip was Barcelona, which just so happens to be my favorite stop of the whole trip! We are city people and feel at home when we are in big cities, but we also really love the beach. Barcelona was the perfect balance of city life and beach!

Traveling with Little Ones

A couple of years ago, I wrote this blog post, sharing some tips and tricks for traveling with little ones. Pandemic aside, we travel a lot. In the last 7 years, we’ve traveled to 20 states, and 5 countries with our four children (and a couple international trips without kids!). Ron & I both loved to travel before ever meeting each other, and we didn’t want to stop once we had children. Of course travel looks very different now than it did 10 years ago. I’ll be honest, it’s a lot of work, it’s stressful at times, and not always restful. (Am I selling you on traveling with kids yet?) But at the end of the day, it’s so worth it. The memories we’ve shared with our children, the cultures they’ve experienced, the sheer beauty of this world, are all indescribably worth it.

Goodbye NYC...

ork.

It is a place unlike any other, and I have had the privilege to call it home for the past 9 years. I’ve eaten “mad” bagels and ordered countless “pies.” So many trips to the bodega. Killed too many roaches to count. Schlepped my groceries and stroller (sometimes at the same time) up endless flights of subway stairs. Mastered folding up a stroller, while holding children and bags to get on the bus.endless flights of subway stairs. Mastered folding up a stroller, while holding children and bags to get on the bus.

Reflections on 2018

Each year I write a blog post about the past year for our family and so here we are again, another year another blog post. 2018 has been quite the ride! In 2017 we had the tragic misfortune of losing a son and so as we started 2018 we were still grieving Roman, he will forever be a missing part in our family and we will miss him dearly until the day we no longer roam this earth.

Reflections on 2017

Today is the last day of 2017. As I write this there are only 19.5 hours left in this year. In a few hours, the last sunrise will take the place and hundreds of people will start to gather near our home in Time Square to watch the ball drop. In these frigid temperatures they will count down the New Year, 10,9,8... resolutions will be made and broken. Every year I write a blog post reflecting on the last 365 days.

Reflections on 2016

Today is January 1, 2017.  Last night we bid farewell to 2016 with all its ups and down.  Last year we ended it with bringing our son into this world, I had just started working a new job toward the end of 2015 and we were excited to see what 2016 had in store for our little family that was rapidly growing.

Reflections on 2015

I can hardly believe that today is the last day of the year.  It feels like this year absolutely flew by.  I'm sure there are a lot of things that I will forget to write about, but as I've done for the past two years, I've decided to write a brief overview of the highs and lows that our family experienced in 2015.

Life Update

It has been awhile since I have blogged about a general life update.  It's funny because I told myself a couple of weeks ago that I should blog about all of this even amidst the uncertainty and chaos instead of waiting to be on the other side.  And of course, I didn't get around to it until today, and things are definitely much brighter now haha!  But I wanted to write about this, mostly so I can look back and remember how God carried us through this season.
